Zakharov Valery Nikolaevich

He was born on March 21, 1955 in the Tula region.
In 1978, he graduated from the Novomoskovskiy branch of the D. I. Mendeleev Moscow Institute of Chemical Technology with a degree in automation engineering.
In 1979, he graduated from the Leningrad Technological Institute with a degree in design automation.
In 1998, he defended his candidate's thesis, and in 2003 – his doctoral dissertation.
Currently, he works as the head of the laboratory of the Institute of Problems of Integrated Development of Mineral Resources of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Full member of the Academy of Mining Sciences.
In 2016, he was elected a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences

Scientific activity
Developer of methodological foundations for the creation of technologies for the development of coal and ore deposits by underground method.
President of the Russian Technology Platform "Solid Minerals", a member of the Expert Council of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, a section under the Expert Council of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Deputy Chairman of the Expert Council and a member of the commission on "Prizes of the Government of the Russian Federation for Science and Technology", a member of the editorial boards of scientific journals.
Author of more than 90 scientific papers, including 3 monographs.
Under his scientific supervision, 5 candidate's and 1 doctoral dissertations were defended.
